The Last Demonhunter 0.53

 -Remastered the Werewolf forest(Lower left forest area in the icelands) with two new Endings. Two more to come on next release.
-Over 50 Spelling/Typofixes. Rawr. Some bugfixing too, finally caught a bug that left you unable to view the second angel scene, hidden in the snowforest area. 

Next up: Finishing the Wolf forests lewdities and beginning the remastering of the Greenvale village.

  1. I'm wondering if there could be some more interaction with the werewolf tribe, possibly after showing her strength they could have respect for her and ask if she wants to be an honorary member of the tribe.

    I do realize that is a lot to add if you want to but i do have some scene and dialogue ideas if you want to hear them

    1. Eh.. why not, the werewolf tribe is unfinished and I can always read 'em.. well, unless you make an essay; but better hurry, I'm finishing the tribe scenes by the weekend.

    2. This would be just after ayla defeats the alpha. Because i have not seen the alpha yet it may not completely match with the context of the encounter. Parentheses () indicate thinking Brackets {} indicate technical stuff.

      Ayla: (urgh she was tough but i think she is mostly done for)
      :The alpha backs away breathing heavily she lowers her guard and begins to speak
      Werewolf:Hmm you'r pretty strong just maybe....
      A:What are you trying to say? (I cant let my guard down her scent is strong even from here)
      W:I think you have proven strong enough for something unique....{Line Break} A place in our tribe.
      A:(Wait what?)
      W:You should think about it you would be a high ranking member almost as powerful as me and you could still wander until you decide to settle down with us.
      {If ayla is against monsters she automatically refuses if she leans evil she is given a third choice to enslave the leader and take over}
      Option 1 Interested. Option 2 Refuse. Option 3 {evil only} Take over.
      OP 1 A: Alright but what about other humans will you still attack travelers?
      W:We only attack travelers because we need supplies winters get cold here you know. if you joined us perhaps you could act as a representative so we could trade for supplies.
      A:(That would help reduce hostilities if i can get the traders to agree) Will i have to become a werewolf myself?
      W:Well i suppose you don't have to but were would the fun be in that?
      {Choice}So What will it be will you join us? Yes. No.
      If No go to refuse. If Yes:
      A:Alright i guess it might be worth it. (Ugh her scent keeps getting stronger it really is nice though..
      W: *The alpha wags her tail excitedly* Excellent! Maybe you would like to enjoy a celebration with the tribe?
      A:(You get a feeling celebration might not mean balloons and campfire songs)
      {Choice} Yes. No.
      if No: A: sorry but i really need to get back to my adventure
      Her tail sags and she looks disappointed but lets you leave with well wishes and asks you to come back to visit.
      If Yes: She beckons you to come closer and you do with each step her scent and presence grow stronger her embrace more inviting.. suddenly you realize she is holding you..{Leads to becoming Werewolf}

      So on so forth. the succubus path could be excluded or you could have a succubus wolfgirl hybrid, Same with catgirl except werewolf could overpower it.
      If you are confused and want me to explain something just let me know i don't want to put in too much right now. Anything in there is subject to change if you feel it fits better a different way. I don't know if this is good material or fits the context but i hope it at least gives you ideas if nothing else.

      Also the evil route is not necessary just throwing that idea out there.

  5. I saw your bug reports page, but I was not sure about how to post bugs there, particularly, there was no target for version 0.53, so I will list some here instead. Please specify how to file proper reports.

    1) Satyr/mermaid inversion:
    If the satyr quest is solved first, the druid will not give the mermaid quest. Inversely, if the mermaid quest is solved first, then, after also finishing the satyr quest, the druid keeps suggesting the mermaid quest again. The orb also does not leave the key items inventory by the end of the mermaid quest.

    2) Haunted Mansion Ring:
    Being able to find the ring there does not seem to make any difference, the ring does not even appears in the inventory.

    3) Second angel encounter graphic glitch:
    After the second angel encounter the last sex scene remains frozen in the middle of the screen, changing the inventory gear does not fix this.

    4) Rubia gear graphics:
    Trying to change Rubia's gear seems to work, but her graphics are off. Also, the character dialog face remains the old one.

    5) Baron Gray's castle:
    After finishing the first visit and removing the lust enchantment the castle remains in the old layout until exiting and upon a return the game scree goes irreversibly black. This also prevents the player form asking him for a sign of passage to the desert.

    6) Return to the old forest:
    After finishing the old demon hunter tower quest, returning to the old forest leads to the south mushroom area right between the actual entrance area and the mushroom game over area.

    7) Persistent sprites:
    In the old demon hunter tower, right before the finish, if going back west from the teleport area instead of proceeding east, the sprites from the dead corrupted demon hunters will still be there.

    8) Haunted mansion angel:
    The main character status screen graphics changes to an angel, which covers some sliders and is not consistent with the main screen profile graphic.

    1. Aalright, 2,3,6 and 7 fixed. 1 Aggra has to look into, 4, 5 and 8 are too imprecise to easily track down. What changes? Which area stays black, the castle of the throne room? When does the image change?
      Please specify your reports, thats the purpose of the Bug repports section.

    2. 4 is simple. Just try to change her gear and look at her avatar in the status screen, the skirt is the easiest one to see, the bunny outfit is also grossly out of place.

      5 I am not entirely sure what triggers it, but in the non corrupted path, go to the desert to pick Rubio, enter the castle and finish the quest by defeating the baron, after he is defeated there are two problems. First, right after the defeat the castle grounds remain as they were before, even the other two companions remain by the entrance with the same dialog screens. Second, upon returning to the city if going back to the castle the guards dialogs remain the same and, upon entering it, right after the city vanishes, the whole game screen goes irreversibly black, seems like the screen transition from the city to the castle grounds is broken. This combination of issues prevents the acquisition of the pass needed to get into the desert.

      8 I was referring to the avatar in the status screen. Not sure what is related and what is not to the bug, but what I did was, in the non corrupted path, talked to the angel in the first forest, am good aligned and not corrupted at all, go to the mansion, answer two of the tree with suspicion, then, once I am able to walk around the house again, upon checking the status screen the main character avatar turns into that of an angel. Just this avatar however, the dialog avatar seems fine.

    3. 4. Easy to see, hard to fix, I hate pixel precise image positioning. Will note it down, fix later.

      5. thats.. a bit convoluted still. There is no pass to get into the desert. That said, I did a thing to try and help with it, but there is no fader or etc in it.

      8. You automatically turn angelic if good aligned enough, so perhaps the Haunted mansion pushed you over, that said, it shouldn't be possible to go angelic -this- early. Will peek at.

What annoys me is that theres no actual alignment changing in the early scene of the haunted mansion, the only thing that I found that COULD influence the status screen is Ayla getting the maid outfit on one path, but that would show up in conversations too. Hrmnn.. If anyone can narrow down when this happens (on entering the mansion or after the dining scene, etc) That'd help, no.5 We will see in TLDH 0.55 if what I did helped.

    5. 5 does not seem to be a fade, it is as if the screen that the transition is referencing to is invalid or corrupt.

      8 upon stepping into the mansion the avatar is fine, after the diner where she asks the questions the bug is triggered.

      By the way, transformations like this should have a special scene trigger when they occur. Well, not at the exact moment to avoid breaking other scenes, but soon after, maybe a number of steps after the conditions are met.

      9) Temple return
      New one I found, go to the temple, escape from it by interacting with the statues, return to it by walking around the entrance, upon getting into it the scene remains as if nothing had happened after leaving the room before going into the baths.

      PS.: Is it possible to save the temple or maybe just the other new girl?

    6. You can't tell the difference between a bad transition and a broken fade from the outside, its more likely than not that.

      I'll take a look at the dinner scene, it really shouldn't do that but I've missed minute details before.

      9. ah, well that one was an easy fix, you're not supposed to be able to sneak through there. Its impossible to 'win' the temple.

    7. Yeah, really stumped how the avatar changes in the menu screen, theres nothing that can cause it... and honestly, its small enough a bug to ignore for now, the next transformation will override it if you are evil/good enough, so w/e. Will note it down, perhaps Aggra will have an idea.

  6. Hey mate, I've been playing your games for a while, I didn't know you made most of these in the past to be honest and I've only been catching up on your recent progress.

    Also do you have a page on MC forums? I'd like to put up bug reports and stuff there for the game.

    As for the game, I've noticed that the game is very grind heavy, almost frustratingly so when it comes to the demonhunter's tower, just putting it out there, because getting infected every single battle is really annoying especially when you can't earn money to buy more antidotes and pay for the inn, unless I've missed some jobs in at Greyholme, it's a real pain in the neck having to grind and run all the way back to the old lady's house to rest and then return.

    2. Alright, just mentioning it that's all.
      On another note I'm considering joining Patreon, but I'm not sure right now. I'm on a sort of tight budget and I'm already paying for multiple Patreons at this point, it's a real challenge to see if it's possible to squeeze in another game developer onto the list.

    3. Well, you can always drop a dollar and check it out, we sometimes got more info and polls for patrons only. five dollar gets you an earlier, buggier :P version of the game. I dunno, just think about what those patrons offer you, what we offer you and then decide with your se.. heart. I've been on and off patron of folks depending on if I felt errr.. enriched by what they did, but don't get poor on my behalf, k?
